Love affirmations
A love affirmation only works if you can read it without flinching. That rules out a lot of what turns up for a search like this: lines that promise a soulmate, or ask you to feel something you don’t feel yet.
These are the 25 love phrases in Mira, written to be read dozens of times a day on a Home Screen. So they are short, they are about what you do rather than what you are owed, and a few are deliberately small. They fall into four groups: the love you let in, being on your own side, how you see yourself, and keeping your own company.
The love you let in
These are about what you let into your life, not about finding someone. “Calms me” does the work in the first line: it names a feeling you would recognise, instead of a person you would have to wait for.
Pairs with photos of the feeling rather than of strangers: two hands, a table set for two, a slow morning.
On your own side
Most of these carry a “today” or a “one” on purpose. “I love myself” is hard to believe on a bad day; “I let one kind thought land” is small enough to actually do.
Pairs with something that looks like being looked after: a made bed, a cup held in both hands, late light on a wall.
How you see yourself
Written as habits you drop rather than feelings you should have. “Without editing” and “stop auditing” name the habit exactly, which is what makes them land when you catch yourself in the middle of it.
Pairs with soft, unposed photos — your own, if there is one you like, or a place where you feel like yourself.
Your own company
For the evenings on your own. None of them treat being alone as a gap to fill: being good company for yourself is a skill, and the lines say so.
Pairs with a single chair by a window, a walk on your own, a table for one that looks like a choice.
Pick one and put it where you’ll see it
Choose the line that made you pause, not the one that sounds best. A phrase you slightly resist is usually the one worth seeing every time you pick up your phone. Mira pairs it with any photo from your library and keeps it on your Home Screen.
